Fine Arts Friday: 5772 Calendar Edition

As you may recall, every year my mother prepares a beautiful family calendar.

And so, in honor of Rosh Chodesh Tamuz, here are the Shiputzim kids’ contributions (in ascending order, according to the young artists’ ages) to the 5772 calendar.

As always, please click on the pictures for a closer view:

Sept2011 September 2011 (roughly corresponding to Elul 5771)

July2012 July 2012 (roughly corresponding to Tamuz-Av 5772, including the Three Weeks)

  1. Beautiful! Ours was a lot tackier, but then, we only had about fifteen minutes to pull ours together as a gift for my sister, pasting the pictures onto a school calendar we got free in the mail after she'd been begging me for a Jewish calendar for MONTHS.
(here's ours - only 9 months long, but I think it turned out pretty darn well)

  2. I love how each stone of the wall looks unique - lovely! And there is charm to the ANI of the top drawing - here I am and don't you forget it is what I read.

  3. Jennifer - Very nice!

Leora - I'm so glad you noticed that about the stones! The young artist specifically put a lot of time and effort into making each one unique!
