Wonders never cease…

Helloooo, Our Shiputzim fans!

Well, whaddaya know? The carpenter paid us a surprise visit today and finally managed to finish AMG’s closet.

Yes, you read that correctly.

Don’t believe me? Well, here, go ahead, see for yourself:

Note that the two leftmost doors are shallower than the rest – so that the door can be opened, as shown in this picture:

Here’s what it looks like on the inside:

But if you think this means that you won’t have to suffer through any more carpenter posts, well, all I can say is: I’m sorry, but not so fast.

You see, he still has to come back and finish the bathroom cabinet. (It’s actually basically done; he just has to add a row of tiles to the bottom.)

But in the meantime, we’re glad that the closet is B”H finally completed…

And on that note, we wish all our readers a

Shabbat Shalom

from the entire Our Shiputzim staff.

  1. Wow, he seems like a great carpenter. Does he have any relatives who do carpentry in New Jersey? We could use some new bookshelves...

  2. I guess AMG can now go shopping for her winter wardrobe. No wonder she did not shop before, as she did not have a nice closet to store her various ensembles. She will have to meet with her advisor SET and be prepared for major purchases.

  3. Leora: Shavua tov.

Since I've never met an Israeli who DIDN'T have a cousin/brother-in-law/former boss living in NJ, I'm sure that it won't be a problem. Look for our carpenter's relative to be arriving at your place "tomorrow"...

  4. "Don't Hold Your Breath":
Actually, SET's efforts have already started to pay off. AMG has gone on several shopping expeditions with her friends - including an excursion last week to the Midrechov (Yerushalayim), where AMG purchased a skirt and a top.

  5. The closet is really nice. I'm sure AMG will fill it all up with no problem. Will we see the skirt and top during RH? Are they for winter or still summerish?
I don't like to complain but there have been two mentions of the hardware for the bathroom, but no details at all. People are wondering....
    See you tomorrow.
P.S. Should I leave you the job of putting the tzimmes in the oven so you can feel you "made the tzimmes"?

  6. Will we see the skirt and top during RH?
According to my sources, the top - yes; the skirt - no. (It's a denim skirt.)

    RE: the hardware -
Okay, okay. You win. B"N I'll try and post a picture before R"H.
