Good.
Because otherwise, I’d be uncomfortable admitting that… I’ve developed quite the KenKen habit.
Known as “Sudoku on steroids”, KenKen – unlike the original – is all about arithmetic. Essentially, it’s one big math problem.
It’s fun, challenging, and – as I noted above – highly addictive.
And now that I’ve shared this little secret, it’s your turn: What’s your favorite online vice (other than blogging, of course)?
Come on, don’t be shy.

Reading your blog and compulsively checking Facebook. And many other blogs, too...but the political ones aren't as fun. Especially not tonight. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteKenKen is a much better variant then regular Sudoko. Thanks for the hookup. I will have to try it out.
ReplyDeleteKakuro is also much better in that way. But to say its "all about arithmetic" is a bit much.
Though it always cracks me up that people think they are doing math when they do a Sudoko problem.
Way too intelelctual for the likes of me, my taste runs more to Bubbles or Jewel Quest which I can sometimes play for an hour straight after an especially stressful day at work until my kids will say "Um, Ima, aren't you getting bored yet?"

I used to play Geo Challenge a lot on FB but haven't done so for a while. I also visit FB pretty often, even more so now that I have an Iphone.

My vice is Lexulous, Facebook's current version of Scrabble. It's actually what got me to join Facebook in the first place!

I play with my family and friends - a really fun way to keep in touch! I find that I'm much better at Scrabble online than in real life, because I can take as long as I want to take my turn - and no one gives me dirty looks while I do :)

Forget taking turns - just playing actual games at all! Personally, I grew up playing solitaire - that one with the seven stacks. Nowadays, it's far too annoying for me to set up, knowing that a computer will happily do it with a single click :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little, we would play double, triple, or even quadruple solitaire. Each player gets his/her own deck of cards and his/her own seven stacks. But once someone puts an ace up on top, any of the other players can put a 2 down on top of it.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lot of fun, but separating the decks after the game was always very annoying...

My mom and I used to play spit like that! But with only five cards across... Ah, those were the days :)
